This divinatory poetics workshop takes place at an auspicious time astrologically for generating new creative work. We will use candles, personal tarot pulls as ekphrasis, and the astrology of the season to inspire our written explorations. All genres are welcome.

Heavy on Scorpio: The Sun and Venus will be conjunct, opening space for aesthetic explorations of the hidden, the subconscious, and the clandestine, peeling back the edges of the mundane reality to explore a great mystery—perhaps within or without, whatever that may be. Mercury will also be in Scorpio, creating a Scorpio stellium, bringing in the Sun (self) in conversation with Venus (the creative) and Mercury (the messenger).
Aries as a backdrop: Dreamy, subconscious, diffuse Neptune comes into conversation with the moon (emotional ebbs and flows) and Saturn (time, boundaries, restrictions), all of which will be in Aries, the genesis of the zodiac. This signals a Fall for reinvention. The moon will be nearly full. The Moon-Saturn conjunction is an opportunity to explore or break through limitations, especially those relating to your emotional landscape or the emotional landscape of our times. Chiron in Aries also suggests this.
Overall, the current astrology lends itself towards flushing out or purging and clearing the internal cobwebs to make room for something new to emerge.
